Question: Are you bulk-billed?
Yes, we are a bulk-billing practice.
Question: Do you have parking?
We are situated inside a shopping centre with abundant free parking..
Question: Do you accept walk-ins?
We are more than happy to accept walk-ins but please keep in mind that availability is subject to the doctors availability so if we are unable to accommodate you when you arrive we will attempt to organise a booking as soon as possible.
Question: How do you respond to phone calls and messages?
Your phone call and voice messages will be returned by one of our friendly staff members within a reasonable time frame. In case of emergencies please contact 000.
Question: What is your policy for cancelled appointments or late attendance?
If you wish to cancel your appointment please give us a call prior to the appointment. If you do not call to cancel your appointment you may be preventing another patient from getting much needed medical attention.
We understand that delays can happen, however we must try to keep the other patients and doctors on time.
If a patient is 15 minutes past their appointment we will reschedule the appointment.
Question: What happens if I don’t have a current Medicare card?
Our surgery is bulk billing for holders of a current Medicare card. A standard appointment with no Medicare card is $70. There is also a separate fee structure for work-related injury/illness for patients without a Medicare card.
Question: How do you handle test results?
It is our practice policy to only disclose results at follow-up appointments, this ensures that the correct and adequate information is given to the patient upon receiving results We do not disclose results over the phone or via email unless advised by the Doctor. In case of urgent results Horizon Family Doctors will contact you to make a follow-up appointment as soon as possible.
